About Mark Dudenhefer

Mark was born in New Orleans, LA in 1952. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from LSU, a Master's in Business Administration from Tulane University, and a Master's in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. In addition, he worked as an Adjunct Professor at Northwood University and taught Economics.

Mark retired from the United States Marine Corps in 2004 as a Colonel after 30 years of service. He worked in Aviation Logistics for most of his military career. Throughout his career he has worked on large DOD budgets and in the area of Public Administration and Personnel Management. He is currently working as a contractor for the Army Corps of Engineers.

The Dudenhefer family moved to Stafford in 1995. Mark has served on The Manors' HOA Executive Board. He helped create the Colonial Forge High School PTSA and was the first PTSA president at the school when it opened. He is active in his church where he has held numerous volunteer positions.

Mark has three children. His son, Chris, attended North Stafford High School for two years and graduated from the Utah Valley University in 2008. His daughter, Rebecca, graduated from Colonial Forge High School.

His youngest daughter, Emily, attended Colonial Forge High School for 3.5 years and was tragically killed in a car accident during her senior year. Both Chris and Rebecca currently live in south Stafford. He has three grandchildren, Haley, Matthew and Grace.

Mark has served on the Board of Supervisors since January 2006 where he has distinguished himself as a leader in Stafford County. In addition, he was elected Chairman of the George Washington Regional Commission, the Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, and the Quantico Growth Management Committee and Vice Chairman of the Board of Supervisors.

Mark resides with his wife, Kay, at 3 Legal Court in The Manors of Park Ridge.

They have committed much of their spare time to educating parents on their responsibilities in instructing their teen drivers in safe driving habits.  They are the motivational speakers at the Stafford County schools' program, Partnership for Safe Teen Driving.
