Dudenhefer’s 5 Star Pledge to Veterans

Stafford, Virginia – Mark Dudenhefer, Republican candidate for Virginia House District 2, has released a 5 Star Pledge to Veterans. Being a retired Marine Colonel of 30 years, Mark understands the issues facing veterans and their families.

“Far too often the government breaks the promises made to our brave men and women, who sacrifice so much. As a retired Marine Colonel, I understand the day-to-day struggles that so many veterans and their families face. My 5 Star Pledge to Veterans will guide me as your Delegate, so veterans and their families know they have a strong advocate in Richmond,” said Dudenhefer.

Listen

Veterans and their families often don’t have an effective advocate who listens to their problems. I pledge to have monthly office hours for members of the military and their families in order to hear and discuss the problems they’re facing.

Support our Local Advisory Councils

As your Delegate, I will work hard to support the local military advisory councils. I pledge to be closely engaged in these councils and be a strong voice in advancing policy recommendations that help military families.

Continue to work closely with the Town of Quantico

Over the years, I have worked closely with the Town of Quantico to secure the needed funding for repairs of roads and local traffic signs. I pledge to further expand my relationship with Quantico to ensure the base, along with the town, has a strong advocate in Richmond.

Military Affairs & Veteran’s Caucus

During my tenure in Richmond, I made a point of working closely with the Military Affairs and Veteran’s Caucus. As your Delegate, I will be a tireless advocate on behalf of the military and their families. I pledge to closely engage with the Veteran’s Caucus and my voting record will reflect that.

Improve the Virginia Department of Veteran Services

It’s crucial that we keep our promise to veterans and their families in regards to access to healthcare and other crucial benefits. I will work with the Inspector General to improve the VDVS by reducing wait time, backlogs, and striving for peak performance.
